Incorporated in 2006 as a limited liability company registered in Thailand, Asset Orchard selectively acquires assets related to real estate and hospitality services. This strategy is based on the belief that the tourism industry in Thailand has tremendous upside potential with relatively low risk.

The principal founder of Asset Orchard is Jon Vanasin, who has previously worked for the Bank of Thailand and the Financial Restructuring Authority (state agency responsible for liquidating the assets of the defunct finance companies in the aftermath of the 1997 crisis). He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).
